Not all panels are of equal quality, where they are manufactured can make a big difference. We recommend you research which panels you want then find a company that provides them

Some companies will provide you with a rebate and will take the REC’s you are entitled to. This can save you time in trying to sell them yourself. However they should also give you the option to sell them yourself if you want to.

  1. 3. Do they provide warranties on the panels and inverter?

Will they also provide a manufacturers brochure. The panels should have a manufactures and solar power warranty. The inverter should also have a warranty.

  1. 4. Are they Clean Energy Council accredited installers?

Ideally the company should be a member of the clean energy council (CEC) and the installers should be electricians that are licensed and clean energy council (BCSC) accredited.

  1. 5. How long have they been in business?

This does not necessarily mean they will be around in the future however it does give a guide to their stability. In most cases you need to assess the likelihood of them continuing to be around through your own judgement.

  1. 6. The System?

What you need depends on many factors such as your current power use, roof facing direction, hours of sunlight, and on if you want to reduce your bill, cover your bill or earn money. So you need a company that will come to your home to assess all of this for you.
